Inhibition
of diabetes development in NOD mice (Type I diabetic disease model) from the
experiment of Hitoshi Ito and Keishiro Shimura or Mie University |
Experimental group: 5
mice fed with:
- Mouse food powder: 90%
- Flour 5%
- Agaricus Blazei
Murrill (powder): 5%
|
Experiment |
Control group: 5 mice fed
with:
- Mouse food powder: 95%
- Flour 5%
|
One mouse died in week 15
and another in week 33. One of the remaining 3 mice became diabetes positive,
but the 3 mice are alive as of week 40. |
Result |
All mice died in weeks 15
- 17 due to development of diabetes. |

MetA fibroblastemic
sarcoma was transplanted to subcutis of mice. Antitumor polysaccharides
extracted from Agaricus Blazei Murrill was administered for 21 days, starting
from 24 hours after the transplantation. Spleens of the mice was removed 24
hours after the last administration and ratio of L3T4+, asialo GM1+ and Lyt12+
cells was measured by flowcytometry. Each group consisted of 10 mice.

consecutive days, starting from 24 hours after the transplantation. Phagocytic
